The City Clerk acts as the Clerk of the City Council by preparing the agendas for their meetings and those of the Standing Committees of the City Council. The Clerk's signature is required for all actions of the City as to orders, ordinances and appropriations.

Generally, the City Council meets weekly on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 PM in the Council Chamber on the third floor of City Hall. During the summer months of July and August, the City Council meets three times. Meeting Schedule (118KB)

Worcester's Government Channel 12 rebroadcasts City Council meetings at 7:00 PM on the Saturday following each meeting. In addition, a full week's worth of Standing Committee meetings are rebroadcast beginning at 9:00 PM on the Friday following the meetings.
