Chairman's Orders

Request the City Manager provide the City Council with a definition of each of the traditional allotments for military personnel deployed to Iraq and/or Afghanistan conflicts.

Request the City Manager provide the City Council with a definition of the phrase “make whole” as employed in administrative communications concerning compensation for military personnel deployed to Iraq and/or Afghanistan.

Request request the City Auditor report to the City Council how he proceeded to calculate payments by the City of Worcester under the provision of M.G.L. Chapter 77 of the Acts of 2005.

Request the City Manager inform the City Council if the local acceptance of the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 77 of the Acts of 2005 falls within the jurisdiction of the City Council.

Request the City Manager report to the City Council the disposition of salary funds allocated for city employees who are military reservists when those reservists are deployed.

Request the City Manager report to the City Council the disposition of Quinn bill monies allocated for City employees who are military personnel when those reservists are deployed.

Chairman's Orders

Request the City Manager consider communicating to the City Council a recommendation for funding section 2 of Chapter 157 of M.G.L. in the amount of $1.1 million.

Request the City Auditor provide the City Council with the dollar amount that would be needed to bring up to 50% the benefit that is paid under section 90 of M.G.L., Chapter 32.

Request the City Manager provide the City Council with a response to the following questions: “How much does it cost taxpayers on the real estate tax bills for every $1 million present in the tax levy budget?”
